Then, as mentioned in the posts above, I had to use a high subdivision value in Thea Render. The best results required me to cut my ground slabs and building walls into square pieces in Archicad. ![]() ![]() However, I am unable to get good results with my Archicad models. I have been able to model some very convincing grass, clapboard, and shingles in test renderings. I am having similar problems creating usable displacements in Thea Render. In addition, youll find many free Materials for 3Ds Max using our MATERIAL MANAGER PRO. The subdivision resembling a "broken mirror" is clearly an Archicad deficiency that need to be corrected to enable advanced rendering software packages like Maxwell and Thea Render to handle displacement maps efficiently.
